This Service Coverage & Model Policy outlines how Alpha and Omega Property Services Pty Ltd (“Alpha and Omega,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) delivers its home maintenance, trade, and subscription services. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By using our services, you agree to the guidelines and conditions outlined below.
1. Service Coverage Area
1.1 Membership Service Radius
Membership-based maintenance visits are available within a 25 km radius of Melbourne CBD.
This ensures consistent scheduling, reliable response times, and priority service for members.
1.2 One-Off Services
One-off jobs are available across all Melbourne suburbs, subject to availability and travel requirements.
2. Estimates, Quotes & Variations
2.1 Online Estimates
Quotes generated through our online system are estimates only based on the information provided by the customer. Final pricing may vary following an on-site inspection.
2.2 Scope of Works
All quotes are prepared based on visible or disclosed conditions. If additional issues are discovered during the job (e.g., hidden damage, non-compliant previous work, structural concerns), a variation will be issued before proceeding.
2.3 Approval of Variations
Work will pause until the customer approves any variations. Variations may affect both cost and timelines.
3. Licensed Trades & Certification
3.1 Qualified Tradespeople
All one-off trade services are carried out by licensed and certified professionals, including:
Electrical
Plumbing
Waterproofing
Other regulated trades as required
3.2 Compliance Certificates
Where required by law, a compliance certificate will be issued after completion.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
4.1 Membership Visits
To maintain efficient routing and capacity planning, membership bookings require 48 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling, unless the job is an emergency.
4.2 One-Off Jobs
One-off jobs follow the cancellation terms outlined on the individual quote or invoice.
Larger jobs requiring deposits may incur a cancellation fee if cancelled after materials have been procured or work has commenced.
5. Access Requirements
To complete work safely and on schedule, the customer must ensure:
Safe and unobstructed access to the property
Access to all relevant areas
Access to electricity, water, and any required utilities
Delays caused by lack of access may result in additional charges.
6. Safety & Site Conditions
We reserve the right to pause or refuse work if the site is unsafe, including but not limited to:
Asbestos or suspected asbestos
Dangerous wiring or plumbing
Structural instability
Aggressive animals
Unsafe working heights or weather conditions
Any additional costs required to make a site safe are the customer’s responsibility.
7. Materials & Product Use
7.1 Supplied Materials
Alpha and Omega uses high-quality, industry-standard materials suited to the job.
7.2 Customer-Supplied Materials
If customers choose to supply their own materials, we cannot guarantee performance, longevity, or defects caused by those materials.
8. Workmanship Guarantee & Documentation
8.1 Guarantee
All work is covered by a workmanship guarantee, consistent with industry standards and Australian Consumer Law.
8.2 Work Reports
A digital work report is prepared after every service and can be provided upon request.
Internal documentation may include notes, recommendations, and photos for quality assurance.
9. Photography & Documentation
We may take before-and-after photos to:
Document work
Maintain quality and compliance
Support warranty or certification requirements
Photos will never publicly identify a customer without consent.
10. Exclusions
Unless specifically included in the quote, the following are excluded:
Rubbish or debris removal
Painting or touch-ups beyond the described scope
Remediation of pre-existing defects
Structural works
Costs arising from customer-caused delays
Warranty for customer-supplied products
11. Weather & External Conditions
Outdoor works may be delayed due to unsafe or unsuitable weather conditions.
Work will resume as soon as reasonably possible.
12. Emergency Services
Emergency callouts are subject to availability.
After-hours or urgent requests may incur additional rates.
Membership emergency priority applies only within the 25 km service radius.
13. Payments & Deposits
Payment terms for one-off services are outlined in each specific quote.
Larger or materials-heavy jobs may require a deposit before work commences.
